The Milton Public Library is turning the page on spring and welcoming summer with the launch of two exciting programs.
The TD Summer Reading Club kicks off Saturday (June 24) with the official launch party set to run from 1 until 3 p.m. at both the Main and Beaty branches.
The Club Carnival will feature games, a scavenger hunt, crafts, visits by special guests and so much more. It will also serve as an opportunity for kids ages 12 and under to sign up for the club.
So what’s the club all about?
It’s a program designed to encourage kids to read over the summer months. Little Bobby will be happy to oblige, as prizes are up for grabs. And the more kids read, the better their odds of claiming one — or more. Mom and Dad will be pleased to know that their child’s participation in the program can help curb summer reading loss.
